529 Studio Co. offers live onsite embroidery services in the Chicagoland area, providing a personalized experience that enhances any event in real-time. Our embroidery machines are capable of stitching intricate designs, logos, and text onto a wide range of items, including tote bags, sweatshirts, shirts, pillowcases, and more. Attendees can choose designs, select colors, and personalize their items, all through our custom embroidery form, which allows for a seamless and enjoyable customization experience in real-time. With these machines, designs can be completed within five minutes, our service ensures that attendees receive custom-embroidered products right before their eyes, adding an exciting and interactive element to your event.

LOVESHACKFANCY WILMETTE

A few months after the grand opening of the brand new LoveShackFancy store, we hosted a holiday pop-up event where customers could customize toiletry bags, sweatshirts, shirts, and more. The activation was offered with a minimum spend and gave shoppers a chance to personalize their items while celebrating the season in-store.

VS PINK BREAK TOUR

At the Chicago stop of the PINK Break Tour, we transformed iconic logos into custom embroidered designs and offered complimentary embroidery with any purchase at the PINK pop-up at Oakbrook Mall before everyone headed out for Spring Break.

GIVENCHY BEAUTY AT MACY'S

During the holiday season, we offered custom embroidery with purchase at Macy's at Oakbrook Mall. Customers could personalize limited-edition, one-of-a-kind dust bags from Givenchy perfumes with embroidered initials, creating a unique and elevated gifting experience.

On Site Expectations

We recommend booking 4-6 hours for on-site embroidery. Our team is composed of up to 2 embroiderers on site, along with 1-2 machines, scaled to match your event's needs.

On-Site Live Embroidery FAQs

Embroidery is compact and takes up very little space per machine. For events, we need space near a power source that fits a 48" x 24" folding table and 2 folding chairs.

*Some events may require multiple embroidery machines, depending upon the quantity required.

Power Requirement: For 1 to 2 embroidery machines, we will require 1 circuit.

The turnaround time to embroider depends on the size of the icon or font and how many characters are being embroidered. On average initials usually can be embroidered in under 2 minutes. A name or icon with multiple colors may require up to 5 minutes.

However, something to keep in mind is event attendance, a single embroidery machine can embroider between 10-15 items per hour. Example: if someone is 5th in the line/que, their wait time could be between 10-30 minutes

We recommend booking 4-6 hours for on-site embroidery and offering either of the below embroidery formats for events:

Option 1: Free embroidery on one item of customers choice with minimum purchase (typically ranging from $150-$250)

Option 2: Free embroidery on a free gift item with purchase / for select members / for the first X customers

The most popular personal embroidery items for apparel (shirts, tank tops, or sweatshirts), tote bags, and toiletry bags. You may of course select any other item and we will confirm if we can embroider it on-site.

*NOTE: Our embroidery machines can easily embroider on cotton, polyester, and rayon. Our embroidery machines are not compatible to handle hats or thick material such as denim.

Thread – Pick from hundreds of different thread colors. We recommend a maximum of 3-5 thread colors.
Fonts – Pick from thousands of different fonts We recommend a maximum of 2 fonts and limiting the text to five characters.
Icons – Select from different icons we have available or work with us to create custom graphics to bring your brand to life

All of our embroidery services are available throughout the Chicagoland area. For events more than 25 miles from the Northern Chicago Suburbs, an additional fee of $0.09/per mile each way will be calculated into the quote for your event. For events beyond 50 miles, please email us to confirm availability.

Yes, all embroidered items can be machine washed and will withstand normal daily wear and tear.
